R. Jordan Turner

R. Jordan Turner

Psychiatrist

R. Jordan Turner, DO is a psychiatrist with an eclectic practice that proudly serves hospitals, partial hospital programs, intensive outpatient programs, dual diagnosis programs, and residential recovery programs.  He graduated from medical school in Nevada and completed Psychiatry residency training at Loma Linda University.  He has since also become board certified as an Addiction Medicine specialist.  He lives in Southern California with his wife and four children.

Mr. Whynaught has worked for College Health Enterprises for over 12 years. He is a Licensed vocational nurse who has extensive experience in all areas of behavioral health care, from direct patient care on acute inpatient settings, to overseeing administrative duties.  Mr. Whynaught strives to bring superior treatment to patients who are experiencing the need for behavioral health services. He is involved in all clinical areas of the Synergy program and leads a talented team of clinicians.

Program Director/Clinical Therapist

Jillianna is an Associate Clinical Social Worker who desires to help individuals meet their best potential through the exploration and healing of the self through a holistic mind, body, spirit approach. She uses a strength based client centered model of therapy to help her clients reach recovery and healing while incorporating various evidence based modalities into practice. She comes to Synergy Estate with experience in eating disorders, mental health, crisis, trauma, suicide prevention, as well as grief and bereavement. She has obtained her Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work and honors diversity, equality and justice within the social work field. She enjoys fostering an environment where individuals from all walks of life can flourish, while reducing mental health stigma.

 

Kristine Gale Boyd

Community Liaison Director

Kristine Gale Boyd holds a bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.  She has been in health care for approximately 10 years specializing in post-acute care and Hospital settings.  Her main focus has been creating new partnerships and relationships with community stake holders, as well as being a resource when families need it the most. Her passion is assisting people from all walks of like.  She believes in helping any potential client by providing a smooth and expedited process.

Gina Minuto-McGuire

Gina Minuto-McGuire

Interventionist/Community Liaison Director

Gina comes to Synergy Estate with over 25 years of experience in marketing and professional business development. She is a certified interventionist that is evidence based. She has served on the board for women in recovery as well as EAP Florida for over 5 years. Her passion lies in helping individuals and families with the resources they need for recreating their lives. Gina grew up in New York the youngest of seven children. She has lived in multiple states, helping build bridges, connections and resources for mental health, substance use disorder and eating disorders for adults and adolescents. Her knowledge of and experience with MH along with her passion for working with, and helping others is her driving force to increase the number of individual recoveries as well as reduce stigma associated with mental health disorders. Her homebase is Florida. She enjoys spending time with her daughter’s, grandson, family and friends, kayaking, golf, horseback riding, sweat lodges, skiing and the beaches.

Danielle Iwatsu

Community Liaison Director

Danielle J. Iwatsu holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Danielle has been involved in the mental health field for over 6 years, working at a psychiatric hospital for both inpatient and outpatient admissions, as well as a crisis hotline helping individuals dealing with immediate mental health needs. Her main focus is being a resource for those needing assistance for themselves, family, friends, or clients. When she isn’t helping her community, Danielle enjoys traveling with her partner, volunteering with her Kiwanis club, playing with her cats and dog, and hanging out with friends and family.

Alexis is an Associate Clinical Social Worker with over 4 years of experience working in the Social Services field with children, adolescents, and adults. Alexis hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. Alexis clinical experiences spans various settings, including non-profit organizations, hospitals, and schools. Alexis strives to bring humor, collaboration, and a gentle balance of compassion and directness during her therapy sessions. Outside of the therapy room, Alexis is happiest when she is creating something or exploring new places. She loves hiking, playing soccer, and cherishing moments with her friends and family.

Naylanie Vargas, AMFT

Naylanie Vargas, AMFT

Therapist

Naylanie is an Associate Mariage and Family Therapist. She currently holds a M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, she received her B.A. in Psychology from California Baptist University.

Over the course of Naylanie’s clinical journey, she has worked with teens and adults in behavioral health IOP and PHP programs specializing in eating disorders. She also has worked with children and their families as an ABA therapist utilizing evidence-based techniques to assess behavior and create treatment plans.

Naylanie enjoys working with diverse individuals, families and children and helping create programs tailored to their needs.

In her free time, Naylanie also enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen, painting and spending time with her family.
